Retail Limited (CapitaLand Retail) is the retail
property business unit of the CapitaLand Group.
With a portfolio of over 40 malls in Singapore,
China, Japan and Malaysia, it is one of the largest
owners / managers of malls in Asia. In Singapore,
it is the largest retail manager with 13 malls,
comprising a total of over 400,000 sq m of net
lettable space, in the suburban and central areas.
This includes the malls owned by Singapore’s
first and largest Real Estate Investment Trust
(REIT) by market capitalisation, CapitaMall Trust,
and private retail property fund, CapitaRetail
Singapore.
Overseas, CapitaLand Retail's
properties in China include its key landmark property
Raffles City Shanghai. Through a joint venture
with the Beijing Hualian Group, CapitaLand Retail
also owns / manages Anzhen and Wangjing shopping
malls, anchored by Beijing Hualian, in Beijing.
CapitaLand Retail has also partnered Shenzhen International
Trust & Investment Co. Ltd to own / manage
21 malls, anchored by Wal-Mart, in 21 provincial
cities across China. These malls under the joint
ventures comprise a total gross floor area of over
1.1 million sq m with an aggregate asset value
of approximately US$1.1 billion.
